Before Wednesday’s big game, a volleyball player from Nebraska is going viral.

Wednesday will be a big night for Nebraska volleyball, as they will host Nebraska Omaha in the second game of a doubleheader at Memorial Stadium.

Harper Murray, a 6-foot-2 freshman outside hitter from Ann Arbor, Mich., is already making a big difference on her team. She will be one of the players to watch for Nebraska in that game.

Murray got her first Big Ten Freshman of the Week award after a good start for the Cornhuskers over the weekend.

“First of many,” Nebraska volleyball wrote on Instagram when the news came out on Monday.

In Nebraska’s first three games, Murray leads the team in kills (33) and points (41.5). He also has 21 digs and six blocks.

In 2022, when she was a senior in high school, she was named Gatorade National Player of the Year and Michigan Volleyball Player of the Year.

With a 3-0 record so far this season, Nebraska is currently ranked fourth in the country for volleyball, behind Louisville, Stanford, and the number one team, Wisconsin.

Tomorrow night at 8 p.m. ET, after Nebraska-Kearney and Wayne State have played, the Cornhuskers will play Omaha.
